INVADE updates

@INVADEH2020 : INVADE partner badenova AG & Co. KG presented the EU project at “Forum for Innovation & Efficiency” in Offenburg (Germany) on the 9th to 11th of April 2019. More than 100 participants from industry, politics and administration were present. Dr. Radensleben, CEO of badenova, opened the convention together with high ranking members of the ministry of economy. The newly installed Redox-Flow-Battery was presented. It’s a grid friendly storage system relieving a weak grid feeder from high PV-production energy flows during daytime by shifting energy transport to nighttime. This means expensive grid enforcement is avoided and the integration of more renewable energies in this region is enabled. In addition, the device improves by a locally operated algorithm voltage quality in this grid segment. Further, the opportunities created by connecting private households providing PV-systems, PV-batteries as well as controllable loads as EV chargers were presented. "A very strong emphasis was laid on business models arising from these new approaches for commercial customers as wells as other utilities," says Dr. Malte C. Thoma, who presented the INVADE project to the participants. ( - 1 week ago)

@INVADEH2020 : This weekend, Smart Innovation Norway's Dr. Iliana Ilieva had the honor of presenting the INVADE project at ICEEEP 2019 in Portugal. Ilieva presented the EU project's specific approach to incorporating social responsibility within the solution’s business and exploitation plans and into the business srategies of the participating partners. The conference gathered research peers from more than 20 countries and was held at the oldest Portuguese university at Coimbra, dating from the 13th century. The presentation of INVADE was met with high interest as the topics of storage, EVs and flexibilty were of highest interest during the conference. The presentation was related to the paper "Bringing Business and Societal Impact Together in an Evolving Energy Sector" and will soon be published in the Journal of Clean Energy Technologies as part of the conference proceedings.
